Do you want those benefits?
Here are tips and a few notes to help you start:
Prepare for your visit.
Make sure you know how to explain your business to members, and show them how being connected to you can be beneficial to them as well. And always have your business cards ready.
Attending meetings.
Meetings last about an hour and a half, and are run according to a prepared agenda.
If you’re not yet a member, you can attend a chapter meeting twice as a visitor. Don’t sell your business in these meetings. You have to first get to know the members and their chapter.
You can also benefit from arriving early, say 15 minutes before—more networking is done before and after the meetings. Consider this when scheduling your visit.
Competition.
Only one representative of each specialty is allowed in any given chapter. This protects the members and ensures that there is no competition, nor confusion within the chapter.
When you join us, you become the sole provider of your product or service and you can become the go-to person for your specialisation.
Craft and Expertise.
The businesses that our members carry into our chapter are their full-time occupations. This ensures that members further develop their expertise in their craft, and can position themselves as such.
